Job summary

Amentum is seeking a Laboratory/Field Equipment Technician to operate and maintain specialized equipment used for Electromagnetic Environmental Effects (E3) testing and certification. You will perform hands-on tasks to keep test equipment running and execute parts of a test plan under senior engineers’ guidance.

Essential responsibilities include diagnostics, calibration, inventory, troubleshooting, and assisting with test plan execution.

Qualifications

• Five (5) years of experience in E3 related laboratory or field test environment.
• Experience with RF systems configuration management and practical aspects of test, evaluation and integration.
• Experience performing E3 related laboratory or field tests.
• Experience with test equipment; Configuration Control; Equipment Calibration; OM&S Inventory; Laboratory Operations; or DD Form 1149.

Job description

Amentum is seeking a Laboratory/Field Equipment Technician to operate and maintain specialized equipment used for Electromagnetic Environmental Effects (E3) testing and certification. Bring your expertise and perform hands-on tasks focused on keeping test equipment running smoothly and executing specific parts of a test plan under the guidance of senior engineers.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Perform diagnostic laboratory work.
• Maintain equipment calibration and inventory.
• Troubleshoot electronic equipment and completes repairs.
• Assist with the execution of designed test plans.

Minimum Requirements:

• Five (5) years of experience in E3 related laboratory or field test environment.
• Demonstrated experience in one or more of the following specific areas:
  • Experience in practical aspects of test, evaluation, and integration related to configuration management of RF systems.
• Experience performing E3 related laboratory or field tests.
• Experience with test equipment; Configuration Control; Equipment Calibration; Operating Materials & Supplies (OM&S) Inventory; Laboratory Operations; or DD Form 1149.

Preferred Qualifications:

• U.S. Navy Surface Ship Combat/Weapons System experience, operations, and understanding
• Experience with network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, multimeters, and time domain reflectometers (TDRs)

Compensation Details:

$70,000 to $80,000
