Job summary

Amentum is seeking an Electrical Engineer with EPOS and ESD experience to advance development, testing, and characterization of microelectronic components. You will design fixtures, customize data-collection software, and create test plans for ESD/EOS testing in a government-facing environment.

You will prepare detailed test reports, present findings, and ensure compliance with military standards while traveling as needed and maintaining a Secret clearance eligibility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field with 3+ years of related experience.
• Familiarity with testing microelectronic components such as resistors, capacitors, transistors, and ICs.
• Comfortable configuring and adapting custom software on ESD/EPOS test equipment.
• Willingness to travel as required and ability to obtain a Secret clearance.

We are currently looking for skilled Electrical Engineer with EPOS and ESD experience.

In this role, you’ll take on engineering assignments spanning the research, development, design, and manufacture of test fixtures and systems for characterization of ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) and EPOS (Electrical Pulsed OverStress) performance of microelectronic components.

Required qualifications

• Familiarity with testing of microelectronic components such as resistors, capacitors, transistors, and integrated circuits.
• Comfortable configuring and adapting custom software on ESD/EPOS test equipment for specific test setups.
• Working knowledge of computer systems and software applications.
• Strong communication and analytical skills.
• Willingness to travel as required.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Government security clearance. U.S. citizenship is required to obtain a Secret clearance.

Preferred qualifications

• ESD or EOS testing experience.
• Experience developing or scripting data-acquisition / analysis software using Python or LabVIEW.
• Experience or knowledge of semiconductor fabrication processes.
• Active Secret clearance.

Compensation Details:

$95,000-$140,000 annually

Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as job responsibilities, education, experience, skills, internal equity, market data, applicable collective bargaining agreements, and relevant laws.
