Job summary

RC Talent seeks a seasoned Project Manager to lead laboratory equipment installation projects across the full lifecycle. You will collaborate with customers, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure install success, on time and within budget.

You will own planning, scheduling, budgeting, risk management, and stakeholder communications while building strong customer relationships and driving growth in a dynamic science-focused environment.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of project management, construction management, engineering project coordination, equipment installation, or related experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
• PMP or similar certification helpful but not required.
• Experience managing multi-stakeholder projects with timelines, budgets, and deliverables.
• Ability to travel onsite to oversee installations to completion.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.

Responsibilities

• Own laboratory equipment and installation projects across full lifecycle.
• Develop and manage project plans, schedules, milestones, budgets, and deliverables.
• Coordinate with customers to understand expectations, timelines, site conditions, and requirements.
• Serve as primary customer contact during planning, delivery, installation, and completion.
• Coordinate installers, subcontractors, manufacturers, architects, contractors, customers, and other stakeholders.
• Spend time onsite to verify field conditions, coordinate work, and ensure on-schedule delivery to spec.
• Manage equipment logistics, manufacturing timelines, delivery coordination, and installation readiness.
• Review specifications, drawings, site conditions, and project requirements to identify potential issues.
• Estimate and track costs throughout each stage and maintain alignment with budgets.
• Identify risks and develop mitigation plans; communicate changes to leadership.
• Maintain multiple active projects with clear priorities and consistent communication.
• Keep customers informed with regular updates on schedules, progress, changes, and risks.
• Maintain project documentation and status in internal systems.
• Utilize CRM tools and QuickBooks Online for planning, tracking, budgeting, and administration.
• Develop technical expertise around lab equipment, installations, and safety considerations.
• Support sales with technical and project-execution insight for new opportunities.
