Job summary

Astrion is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic for the LASSO II contract, onsite at Kennedy Space Center in Cape Canaveral, FL. The ideal candidate will install, maintain, and repair laboratory equipment including chemical baths, ovens, pumps, and pressure systems, ensuring safe and compliant operation.

Requirements include a high school diploma and 5+ years of experience with industrial equipment (480V), plus the ability to read drawings and manufacturer documentation.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma.
• Five+ years of maintenance of industrial equipment (480V), with troubleshooting.
• Extensive knowledge in mechanical, pneumatic, hydrostatic, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
• Ability to read facility drawings and manufacturer documentation.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair heated/stirred chemical baths, ovens, vent hoods, pumps, and other laboratory equipment.
• Safely perform all work in compliance with laboratory best practices and local policies and procedures.
• Assist in developing Job Plans for work to be performed and follow those plans to perform the work.
• Identify consumable or repair parts that should be stocked to minimize equipment downtime.
