Astrion is seeking a Scientist III to support LASSO II at Kennedy Space Center in Merritt Island, FL. This full-time position provides technical and logistical support to multiple laboratories, including the Applied Chemistry Lab, NASA Investigative Lab, and Life Sciences Lab, with onsite work and occasional overtime.

Qualificações

• 10 years of related experience in a laboratory setting.
• Bachelor's degree (Master's degree preferred) in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering.
• Experience with analytical instrumentation including LCMS, GC, GC-FID, GCMS, IC, ICP, XRF, XRD, SEM.
• Experience with chemical management, chemical synthesis, and chemical operations.
• Experience in vendor communications with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Experience in documentation development, including test plans, test reports, and hardware performance analyses.
• Experience in a biological laboratory working with autoclaves, genetic analyzers, etc a plus

Responsabilidades

• Perform inspection and maintenance of safety equipment.
• Maintain chemical inventories and coordinate hazardous waste removal.
• Manage laboratory inventory and supplies.
• Replace expired components on pressure systems.
• Assemble mechanical systems.
• Perform basic equipment repairs.
• Communicate effectively with vendors and stakeholders.
• Demonstrate strong teamwork and collaboration on projects.
• Coordinate work between multiple project disciplines.
• Manage multiple projects with deadlines and accuracy.
• Self-motivate and work independently with minimal supervision.
• Utilize Microsoft Office Suite and SharePoint for documentation.
