Job summary

Mantu is seeking a Research Scientist / R&D Engineer to advance orthopedic and medical device technologies. The role combines hands-on laboratory work with data-driven evaluation and cross-functional collaboration to drive development of new products.

The candidate should be curious, technically versatile, and capable of translating complex results into practical recommendations for stakeholders across R&D, development, and manufacturing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical/Biomedical/Bioengineering or related).
• 3–7 years in an academic, lab, or industry setting with R&D/technology development.
• Hands-on experience with laboratory testing, test methods, equipment, and protocol development.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; experience with data analysis and statistics preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to present findings and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Support development of research and testing project plans.
• Conduct laboratory testing and technical evaluations with appropriate methods and equipment.
• Develop test programs, identify equipment, and support execution of research activities.
• Analyze experimental results using statistical methods and provide technical recommendations.
• Monitor scientific/medical literature for relevant advances related to objectives.
• Collaborate with R&D, Development, Manufacturing, Legal, and other stakeholders; document findings.
