Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with CAD; SolidWorks preferred.
• Experience with FEA, FMEA, and tolerance stack-up analyses.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Familiarity with Design Controls and documentation.

Our client is a MedTech company looking for an R&D Engineer to join its talented development team and play a key role in designing, prototyping, testing, and improving next‑generation products. Position Overview

We are seeking a talented and motivated R&D Engineer for this full‑time on‑site position offering hands‑on experience with cutting‑edge medical device technology. In this role, you will be a key contributor to the development of the company product, working closely with multidisciplinary engineering and operational teams.

What You'll Do

• Design and develop medical device products in a regulated environment
• Translate engineering concepts into 3D CAD models, detailed drawings, and functional prototypes
• Build and test prototypes to evaluate proof of concept and product performance
• Develop test protocols and perform product verification and validation
• Apply engineering principles, analysis, and hands‑on problem solving to resolve design challenges
• Perform engineering analyses including FEA, FMEA/dFMEA, and tolerance stack‑ups
• Support pilot manufacturing and troubleshoot manufacturing processes
• Work with suppliers and contract manufacturers to source and develop components
• Document engineering activities in accordance with Design Controls and the company's quality system
• Contribute to intellectual property through invention disclosures and patent applications
• Support R&D testing, including in‑vitro and in‑vivo testing
• Collaborate with Quality, Clinical, Manufacturing, and Document Control teams
• Stay current with competitive technologies and developments relevant to medical devices

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or a related field
• At least 2 years of engineering experience, preferably within medical devices or biotechnology
• Hands‑on experience with CAD; SolidWorks preferred
• Strong engineering problem‑solving and technical skills
• Understanding of engineering materials, component selection, reliability, and manufacturability
• Ability to perform engineering design analysis such as FEA, FMEA/dFMEA, and tolerance stack‑up analysis
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across functions
• Comfortable working hands‑on in a laboratory and participating in product testing
