Job summary

Madison Core Laboratories is seeking an experienced Dispatcher to coordinate blood draws and specimen collection orders for the Mobile Phlebotomy team. The role emphasizes accurate scheduling, clear communication with phlebotomists, clients, couriers, and internal departments, and maintaining precise records.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced laboratory environment while safeguarding patient and client information.

Qualifications

• Three to five years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
• Previous dispatching or scheduling experience within laboratory services, mobile phlebotomy, healthcare, or a related environment is preferred.
• High school diploma or GED is required.

Responsibilities

• Assign blood draws, swabs, and other specimen collection orders to Mobile Phlebotomy team members based on facility and operational needs.
• Review incoming collection requests and confirm orders are assigned correctly and promptly.
• Enter incoming orders and standing orders into the appropriate system.
• Monitor assignments and adjust for workload changes, priority, and facility requirements.
• Communicate scheduling updates clearly with Mobile Phlebotomists and clients.
