Job summary

Keene State College, affiliated with the University System of New Hampshire, seeks a SPDI Workspace Manager/Educator to support Sustainable Product Design and Innovation, Architecture, and Construction Management programs. You will provide hands-on instruction, assist with curriculum development, and supervise student workers in fabrication and prototyping labs.

The role emphasizes maintaining safe equipment, managing inventories, and coordinating purchasing and safety training.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a related field with at least 3 years of relevant experience.
Hands-on fabrication, prototyping, woodworking, or manufacturing equipment experience.
Experience instructing or training others in equipment operation and safety.

Responsibilities

Support faculty and students in laboratory-based courses, projects, and independent work.
Provide hands-on instruction in fabrication, prototyping, manufacturing processes, and safe equipment operation.
Assist faculty with curriculum development, instructional activities, and laboratory preparation.
Supervise open lab sessions and provide technical guidance and mentorship to students.
Train and supervise student workers and support new faculty using the workspaces.
Maintain safe, organized SPDI workspaces and coordinate equipment upgrades.
