Job summary

Amentum is seeking a Chemistry professional in the United States to conduct scientifically rigorous research, analysis, and reporting. You will apply spectroscopy-related methods and detection techniques tailored to customer needs and evaluate external reports for relevance.

The role includes field collection support, an office environment with occasional lifting up to 30 lbs, and requires a BS in Chemistry with 2 years of laboratory experience, plus the ability to obtain Top Secret clearance

Qualifications

• Requires a B.S. in Chemistry or similar field and 2 years in a laboratory.
• Security clearance: Top Secret with CI Polygraph.
• Proficient in chemical markings and detection techniques.
• Office environment; occasional lifting up to 30 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Carry out scientifically rigorous research, analysis, and reporting using a range of techniques, software and equipment.
• Apply knowledge of chemical markings and detection techniques tailored to customer requirements.
• Evaluate technical reports from outside vendors for suitability to meet customer requirements.
• Support field collection and analysis requirements.
