Job summary

Amentum is seeking a scientist with a B.S. in Chemistry to perform rigorously designed laboratory research, analysis and reporting in a structured environment.

The role involves applying chemical markings and detection techniques, evaluating external reports, and supporting field collection and analysis. The position requires 2 years of laboratory experience, ability to obtain a Top Secret CI polygraph, and a schedule of Monday–Friday, 8am–4pm, in a office/field setting.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Chemistry or similar field.
• 2 years of working in a laboratory environment.
• Ability to obtain Top Secret counterintelligence polygraph.

Responsibilities

• Carry out scientifically rigorous research, analysis and reporting using chemistry techniques.
• Apply knowledge of and experience with chemical markings and detection techniques tailored to customer requirements.
• Identify and utilize materials and detection systems meeting customer requirements; evaluate vendor reports for suitability.
• Support field collection and analysis requirements.
