Clean Harbors is seeking a Lab/Blends Chemist Intern for Summer 2027 at the Aragonite, UT site. This in-person internship offers hands-on laboratory experience while supporting environmental, energy, and industrial services projects.

Start dates are May 17th or May 24th, with internships running through August. The role emphasizes safety, mentorship, and exposure to GC/IC/ICP analytics and wet chemistry testing.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a degree in biology, chemistry, or related field.
• Experience in a laboratory setting.
• Knowledge of wastewater, TOC, and ICP instrumentation is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Ensure Health and Safety is the top priority and follow safe work practices.
• Learn analysis of metals including mercury.
• Learn wet chemistry testing (chlorine, fluoride) and instrumental analysis.
• Shadow supervisors/technicians and manage waste from analytical procedures.
• Maintain a safe working environment complying with OSHA regulations.
