Job summary

Clean Harbors is seeking a Lab/Blends Chemist Intern for Summer 2027 at the Aragonite, UT Incinerator. The internship is in-person, with start dates May 17 or May 24, running through August.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a degree in biology, chemistry, or related field at an accredited college or university.
• Experience in a laboratory setting.
• Knowledge of wastewater, TOC (Total Organic Carbon), and ICP instrumentation.
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain safety as a priority and follow all safe work practices.
• Learn analyses of metals, including mercury, and wet chemistry testing (chlorine and fluoride).
• Operate and interpret data from GC, IC, ICP, and other analytical instruments.
• Shadow supervisor/technician and help manage waste generated by analytical procedures.
