Job summary

Cummins Inc. is seeking a laboratory test focused intern to design and specify test systems for engineering evaluation in a lab environment. You will work on mechanical, electrical, plumbing, instrumentation, data acquisition, and control systems to optimize product designs.

You will support test system design, validation, and documentation while coordinating with lab customers, technicians, and suppliers. This role requires full-time student status with 40 hours/week commitment for 4–12 months.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD degree considered for the role.
• Experience with lab test systems and instrumentation is a plus.
• Demonstrated problem-solving and teamwork skills within a lab environment.

Responsibilities

• Design or specify test systems for Cummins products in a lab setting.
• Support test system specification, design, validation and instruction to technicians and suppliers.
• Collaborate with lab customers and engineers to deliver test system requirements.
