Job summary

Cummins Inc. is offering an engineering internship focused on advanced design and material processing concepts. You will work on cross-functional teams to develop design concepts, meet requirements, and support validation, testing, and problem solving.

The internship requires full-time enrollment in an accredited U.S. college or university, a 2.5+ GPA, and a 4–12 month commitment with a 40-hour workweek. Relocation is not offered; on-site collaboration is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s, Master’s or PhD engineering programs considered.
• Enrolled full-time at a U.S. college/university.
• Willingness to commit 4–12 months and work 40 hours per week.
• Minimum 2.5 GPA preferred.
• Must reside within the continental U.S.

Responsibilities

• Investigates material and processing problems and documents results.
• Supports validation, quality auditing, design validation and 7-step problem solving.
• Delivers testing/analysis results and consultancy to Quality, Supply Chain, and Engineering.
