Job summary

AMD’s Strategic Silicon Solutions group in Austin is seeking a Post-Silicon Power and Performance Validation Engineer to ensure custom silicon meets power and performance targets. You will develop test plans with architects, firmware and IP teams, execute lab studies, and analyze data to validate product specifications.

The role requires experience validating CPU/GPU/APU features and working with data acquisition and thermal equipment.

Qualifications

• Experience validating power or performance features of CPUs/GPUs/APUs.
• Familiarity with graphics, core, and gaming-focused workloads.
• Experience using data acquisition and thermal equipment.
• Experience analyzing and presenting data using Power BI or Sigma.
• Experience working in a fast-paced matrixed, multi-site organization.

Responsibilities

• Develop test plans in collaboration with architects, firmware, and IP teams to ensure products meet or exceed performance targets.
• Work with architects and the business team to support current and future products.
• Execute power and performance studies to support business development.
• Validate and tune product features post-silicon.
• Set up and debug systems under test.
