Job summary

Zifo is seeking a Lab Automation Engineer to provide technical automation services in our Cambridge, MA site. You will handle multivendor instruments, scripting, maintenance, and training, aligning with client needs and internal support teams.

The role requires working at the client site full-time, with focus on automation software configuration, system validation, and process improvements within pharmaceutical research environments.

Qualifications

• BS in CS, life science or equivalent.
• 5+ years of relevant technical experience in biotech/pharma automation.
• Experience with scientific instrumentation preferred.
• Experience with liquid handling automation preferred.
• Experience with scripting for automation equipment.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support of customer laboratory environments.
• Maintain and troubleshoot automation equipment (liquid handlers, plate readers, robotic systems).
• Install, operate, QC, and train users on instruments and software.
• Configure in-lab settings for automation software and train robotic equipment.
• Perform unit test scripts for in-lab automation software and systems.
• Collaborate with discovery, engineering and expression groups to optimize research workflows.
