Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Lab Automation Engineer II to join our Monogram lab in South San Francisco. This role offers a Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm schedule and a chance to contribute to cutting-edge automation in a clinical lab setting.

You will lead development and integration of automation systems, prepare documentation for validation, and develop scripts for liquid handling robots such as Hamilton Microlab STARs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Life Science related field.
• 2+ years of experience with lab automation instruments in biotech or clinical labs.
• Proficiency in C and Python programming and scripting.
• Experience developing automation solutions and scripts.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and integration of automation systems and related software tools.
• Prepare documentation for equipment validation and operating procedures.
• Develop scripts for liquid handling robots and Hamilton Microlab STARs.
• Collaborate with end users, supervisors and cross-functional teams for adoption.
• Lead troubleshooting, analyze data and support on-call service as needed.
