Qualifications

  • B.S. in life sciences, engineering, or related field.
  • 1+ years with automated liquid handlers in regulated labs; Hamilton experience preferred.
  • Strong cross-team communication and attention to detail.
  • Innovative problem-solving with a team-based approach.
  • Experience in fast-paced environments with shifting priorities.
  • Familiarity with NGS or molecular biology workflows.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs.
  • Ability to perform essential duties with or without accommodation.

Responsibilities

  • Develop automated liquid handling solutions to meet assay workflows in a regulated device environment.
  • Participate in all software development lifecycle stages.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate lab processes into software requirements.
  • Design robust liquid handler methods for scalable, high-throughput use.
  • Iteratively improve software based on experimental data and user feedback.
  • Maintain and improve performance of existing software.
  • Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and software issues and perform root cause analyses.
  • Review and debug complex software.
  • Design experiments to study software control impact on hardware.
  • Write test protocols and reports, and manage deviations under design controls.
  • Prepare technical documents for medical devices with team input.
