Abbott is seeking an Automation Service Engineer I to install, calibrate, maintain, and repair laboratory automation equipment across clinical, R&D, and manufacturing settings. The role involves 65% hands-on work and requires strong communication, mentorship, and cross‑functional collaboration.

Responsibilities include documenting service activities per GDP and regulatory requirements, performing IQ/OQ/PQ tasks, and supporting quality systems while traveling up to 20% as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field, or 2 years with an Associate’s degree.
• 3+ years of relevant automation service experience.
• Experience with electrical circuits and diagrams.
• Ability to work nights/weekends and travel 10–20%.

Responsabilités

• Install and qualify advanced automation systems per policy.
• Lead root-cause investigations and corrective actions.
• Perform preventive maintenance and calibrations.
• Document service activities per GDP and regulatory requirements.
