System One is seeking an Associate Scientist to join our Darien, CT laboratory on a 12-month contract. The role involves collecting samples, preparing hair swatches, and performing procedures to evaluate product performance using a range of lab equipment.

You will analyze data, document results, and help substantiate claims while maintaining records in the company database. The ideal candidate holds a science-related degree or equivalent lab experience, with proficiency in MS

Qualifications

College degree in science-related field or equivalent lab experience.
Proficient in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and File Explorer.
Ability to learn and use instrumentation software.
Careful adherence to established procedures and experimental design.
Detail oriented with manual dexterity when working with instruments and samples.
Demonstrating integrity to produce repeatable data.
Excellent organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

Collects samples and prepares hair swatches to perform methods adhering to a set procedure.
Performs technical procedures to measure product performance on hair with variety of lab equipment.
Analyzes data, performs statistical calculations, and draws conclusions to substantiate claims.
Documents work and writes reports on product evaluation in conformance with company policies and standards.
Keeps laboratory consumables organized and stocked, assembling and dismantling instruments where necessary.
Aids in the research and development of new methods and exploratory claims substantiation.
Analyzes consumer insights and survey data to draw conclusions on new claims language and trends.
Maintains and stores internal documentation to company database.
