Centerpoint Health - Paris is seeking a Laboratory Assistant to perform venipuncture, collect specimens, and support lab workflows with strong customer service. The role includes verification of patient identity, specimen labeling, and coordination with nursing for timed collections.

Responsibilities also cover processing samples, maintaining inventory, and assisting with education and quality improvements within the lab. This PRN weekend position supports the Paris community hospital operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; phlebotomy certification preferred.
• Experience with venipuncture and specimen collection is essential.
• Knowledge of chain-of-custody and specimen labeling processes a plus.

Responsabilités

• Perform venipuncture and specimen collection with proper ID verification.
• Process and label specimens, and ensure proper handling/transport.
• Support order entry and clerical workflows; answer lab phones and provide customer service.
• Assist with inventory management of phlebotomy supplies.
