Job summary

Piedmont Walton Hospital in Monroe, Georgia is seeking a Lab Assistant-PRN to support sample processing and exempt screening and monitoring tests in line with CLIA and OSHA requirements. PRN shifts offer schedule flexibility and an opportunity to contribute to patient outcomes.

No experience is required, but one year of phlebotomy experience and familiarity with EKGs are preferred. A CPT Phlebotomy Certification is preferred. GED is required.

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or GED required.
• No experience required. 1 year of phlebotomy preferred. Experience performing EKGs preferred. Experience in healthcare or clinical laboratory setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs sample processing and exempt screening and monitoring tests in accordance with CMS (CLIA '88), OSHA and other applicable regulations.
• Performs venipunctures where applicable and prepares blood specimens according to Piedmont policies and procedures.
• Assists technical staff in non-clinical tasks.

Work Experience

• 1 year of experience as a phlebotomist Preferred
