Piedmont Columbus Northside in Georgia seeks a Phlebotomy Technician to join our team. You will perform sample collection, venipunctures, and processing in a regulated clinical lab setting, supporting CMS/CLIA ‘88 and Piedmont policies for safe and accurate testing.

No experience is required, but a GED is required. A CPT phlebotomy certification is preferred, and experience with EKGs or healthcare labs is a plus.

Formación

• GED or high school diploma required.
• No experience required; 1 year preferred as phlebotomist.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred (CPT or equivalent).
• Experience performing EKGs and in healthcare settings is a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Performs sample processing and exempt screening and monitoring tests following CMS/CLIA and Piedmont policies.
• Performs venipunctures and prepares blood specimens.
• Assists technical staff with non-clinical tasks.

Responsibilities:

Performs sample processing and exempt screening and monitoring tests in accordance with CMS (CLIA '88), OSHA and other applicable regulatory, established standards as may be applicable. Performs venipunctures at entities where applicable, and obtains/prepares blood specimens in accordance with Piedmont policies and procedures. Assists technical staff in non-clinical tasks.

Qualifications:

Education

• H.S. Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) Required

Work Experience

• No experience required Required
• 1 year of experience as a phlebotomist Preferred
• Experience in performing EKGs Preferred
• Experience working in healthcare or clinical laboratory setting Preferred

Licenses and Certifications

• None Required
• CPT - Phlebotomy Technician Certification Phlebotomy certification through ASCP, ASPT, NCA or equivalent agency Preferred
