Responsibilities

• Performs venipunctures, finger sticks, and heel sticks suitable for age groups.
• Accepts specimens and requisitions and manages add-ons and pending lists.
• Identifies patients and specimens with two identifiers and labels correctly.
• Registers and logs specimens in LIS and evaluates adequacy.
• Performs processing and documentation per lab protocols.
• Resolves problematic specimens and orders with staff and clients.
• Follows safety and infection control procedures and supports efficient workflow.
• Operates LIS for data entry and workflow management.
• Contributes to lab operations by restocking supplies and training others.
