Qualifications

• Phlebotomy and office experience required.
• Background in customer service preferred.
• BLS and Phlebotomy certification is required and must be maintained during employment.
• Graduate of Medical Assistant School, Business/Vocational, and Medical Secretarial or courses in Phlebotomy required.
• ASPT or equivalent certification is required to be obtained within the first six months of employment, if not currently certified.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine phlebotomy and skin punctures.
• Data entry of physician orders and results; charting patient results.
• Greet patients/visitors and provide clerical support, answer phones.
• Maintain laboratory printers and requisition organization.
• Support the Laboratory computer system and ensure efficient workflow.
