Job summary

Piedmont Atlanta Hospital is seeking a Phlebotomist to join the clinical laboratory team on multiple shifts. The role includes sample processing, venipuncture, and preparing blood specimens in accordance with Piedmont policies and procedures.

Education: H.S. Diploma or GED required; no experience required, 1 year preferred. CPT - Phlebotomy Technician Certification preferred; healthcare or clinical lab experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Education: H.S. Diploma or GED required.
• Work Experience: No experience required; 1 year preferred; EKG experience preferred; healthcare or clinical lab experience preferred.
• Licenses/Certifications: CPT - Phlebotomy Technician Certification and/or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs sample processing and exempt screening and monitoring tests in accordance with CMS (CLIA '88), OSHA and Piedmont policies.
• Performs venipunctures and prepares blood specimens; assists technical staff in non-clinical tasks.
