HCA Houston Healthcare Kingwood is seeking a dedicated Lab Assistant to join the team in the laboratory services. The role focuses on accurate charting and timely processing of lab reports, assisting with phlebotomy tasks, and maintaining a clean, safe work environment.

You will support inventory and ensure proper handling of specimens and paperwork. The successful candidate will have at least 2 years of experience and a working knowledge of medical terminology.

Qualifications

• 2 years experience required.
• Medical terminology is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Accepts responsibility for own actions and follows department policies.
• Assist in phlebotomy/collection and STAT collection as needed.
• Handle and chart/mail lab reports to physician offices.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety of the work area.
• Process drug screens and ensure proper documentation and filing.
• Distribute mail and support inventory and supply management.
