Qualifications

  • Some college coursework preferred.
  • Experience: None required; 1 year laboratory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Prepares and identifies samples for laboratory testing.
  • Performs instrument maintenance and troubleshooting.
  • Documents maintenance and quality control for instruments.
  • Manages inventory and supplies to maintain adequate stock.
  • Reports patient results in the EHR accurately.
  • Performs clerical duties including EHR access, filing, and specimen tracking.
  • Retrieves and transports specimens to appropriate locations.
  • Performs waived testing.
