Job summary

Qualifications

• Some college coursework preferred.

Responsibilities

• Properly prepares and identifies samples for laboratory testing.
• Performs instrument maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Documents maintenance performance of instruments/equipment.
• Performs and records Quality Control for testing performed in the area.
• Controls inventory ordering and supplies to maintain adequate stock.
• Accurately reports patient results in the EHR.
• Performs clerical duties for the department and handles specimens.
• Retrieves and transports specimens to appropriate locations.
• Performs waived testing.
