Job summary

Main Line Health in Paoli Hospital is seeking a Lab Assistant II to support phlebotomy and specimen processing. You will handle specimens, communicate results to the healthcare team and assist in multiple clinical and anatomic lab areas. The role may involve venipuncture and infant collections where required.

Qualifications

• 2+ years laboratory experience required.
• Proficiency in 2 different areas of the lab strongly preferred.
• 1 year experience with infant collections.
• High school graduate or equivalent; MA certification preferred; knowledge of medical terminology; strong verbal/written/computer/clerical skills.

Responsibilities

• Receive, process and communicate critical information to the healthcare team.
• Process and handle specimens for testing in multiple clinical and anatomic areas.
• Obtain blood specimens by venipuncture and micro-collection techniques for all ages.
