Job summary

Main Line Health's Bryn Mawr Hospital is hiring a Lab Assistant II to join the team responsible for receiving, processing and communicating critical information to the healthcare team. Under the supervision of the laboratory supervisor, you will process and handle specimens for testing across multiple clinical areas, and may perform venipuncture and micro-collection on patients of all ages.

Qualifications

• 2+ years laboratory experience required.
• Proficiency in 2 different areas of the lab strongly preferred.
• 1 year experience with infant collections
• High school graduate or equivalent; certification as a medical assistant or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Receives, processes and communicates critical information to the healthcare team.
• Processes and handles specimens for testing in multiple Clinical and Anatomic areas of the laboratory.
• May obtain blood specimens by venipuncture and micro-collection techniques.
