The laboratories of IU Health offer some of the most comprehensive laboratory services in Indiana, operating 24/7 and performing over 19 million tests annually. Laboratory testing services are provided to hospitals and physicians across the country.
The Phlebotomist provides general laboratory services, including specimen collection via routine venipuncture, order entry, blood component preparation, pre-analytic processing, and related clerical tasks such as entering orders, answering phones, and managing faxes. The role may also include patient and specimen registration and delivery of specimens. Strong customer service skills and compassion are essential.
