Indiana University Health is seeking a Phlebotomist for a full-time day shift (Floating) in the Indy Metro Area. The role includes specimen collection by venipuncture, order entry, and pre-analytic processing, with clerical tasks such as answering phones and handling faxes.
The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or GED, completed a phlebotomy program, strong computers and telephone skills, and the ability to work as part of a team while delivering compassionate patient service.

The laboratories of IU Health offer some of the most comprehensive laboratory services in Indiana! Open 24 hours a day, seven days a week, the laboratories perform more than 19 million tests a year. In addition to IU Health, laboratory testing services are provided to hospitals and physicians across the country.
SHIFT: Full-Time Days, Float
HOURS: Hours vary anytime between 0630-1730. Monday-Friday. No weekends. No holidays.

The Phlebotomist provides general laboratory services including specimen collection using routine venipuncture, order entry, blood component preparation, pre-analytic processing of specimens as well as related clerical tasks such as entering orders into the system, answering phone calls, and managing faxes. The incumbent may be responsible for patient and specimen registration and delivery of specimens. The ideal incumbent will possess strong customer service skills and be highly compassionate.
