Indiana University Health Downtown Indianapolis is seeking a Lab Assistant I for a part-time day shift, performing specimen collection, order entry, and related clerical duties across IU Health lab services.
Qualified candidates have a high school diploma or GED, phlebotomy training or related coursework, and solid computer and phone skills. The team emphasizes teamwork and dependable patient care.

SHIFT: Part time, day shift (Would be 8-hour shifts within the hours of 6:30AM-5:30PM, within the M-F work week)
LOCATION: Downtown Indianapolis (Floating between Methodist Hospital, RIley Hospital, University Hospital, and Dunlap facility)

In addition to IU Health, laboratory testing services are provided to hospitals and physicians across the country.
The Lab Assistant I provides general laboratory services including specimen collection, order entry, blood component preparation, pre-analytic processing of specimens as well as related clerical tasks. The incumbent may be responsible for patient and specimen registration and delivery of specimens.
