Job summary

Quest Diagnostics is seeking a Lab Assistant I in Grand Rapids, MI to support the laboratory team. The role features a Monday–Friday schedule from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM, part-time hours, and opportunities to gain hands-on experience with state-of-the-art instrumentation.

Responsibilities include handling samples, managing the specimen library, performing waived tests under supervision, and coordinating with the accessioning team. A High School Diploma is required.

Responsibilities

• Provides a wide variety of support for assigned lab department.
• Picks up samples from accessioning and sorts samples into appropriate racks.
• Answers phone and directs calls appropriately
• Unpacks and stores reagents and supplies
• Inventories and orders warehouse supply items
• Sorts samples and distributes them to the appropriate setup hood.
• Manages specimen library within established time frames.
• Performs waived tests under supervision
• All other duties as assigned.
