Job summary

Quest Diagnostics is seeking a Lab Assistant I in Pittsburgh, PA, Monday to Friday, 11:00 PM to 7:30 AM, within the Auto Chemistry Tech Support department. The role involves handling samples, reagents, and equipment, while performing waived tests under supervision and providing broad departmental support.

The position offers benefits and a potential performance bonus. Minimum pay starts at $17.75 per hour with shift differentials of 10% for some 2nd shift hours and 15% for some 3rd shift hours.

Responsibilities

• Provides a wide variety of support for assigned lab department.
• Picks up samples from accessioning and sorts samples into appropriate racks.
• Answers phone and directs calls appropriately
• Unpacks and stores reagents and supplies
• Inventories and orders warehouse supply items
• Sorts samples and distributes them to the appropriate setup hood. Manages specimen library within established time frames.
• Performs waived tests under supervision
• All other duties as assigned.

Pay range: Minimum of $17.75+ per hour; employee may be eligible to receive shift differential of 10% for some or all hours worked on second shift and 15% for some or all hours worked on third shift. Additional details on shift differential will be provided if an offer is extended.
