Quest Diagnostics is seeking a Lab Assistant I in Shelton, CT, with a 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM schedule, Monday through Friday. This entry-level laboratory role provides support to the assigned department, including accessioning, sample handling, and basic testing under supervision.

Responsibilities

• Provides a wide variety of support for assigned lab department.
• Picks up samples from accessioning and sorts samples into appropriate racks.
• Answers phone and directs calls appropriately.
• Unpacks and stores reagents and supplies.
• Inventories and orders warehouse supply items.
• Sorts samples and distributes them to the appropriate setup hood; manages specimen library within established time frames.
• Performs waived tests under supervision.

Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, certifications obtained.
