Job summary

Labcorp is seeking an experienced Lab Assistant at St. Thomas West Hospital in Nashville, TN. This role supports specimen processing and prepares samples for testing in a fast-paced laboratory setting.

You will handle specimen accessioning, data entry, and maintain safety standards while following SOPs. The position offers 1st shift hours, with overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year or more of specimen accessioning experience.
• 1 year or more of experience as a laboratory assistant.
• Comfortable handling biological specimens.
• Ability to accurately identify specimens.
• Basic computer knowledge and data entry skills.
• High level of attention to detail with multitasking ability.
• Able to pass a color blindness test.
• Overtime as needed.

LabCorp is seeking an experienced Lab Assistant

St. Thomas West Hospital in Nashville, TN

Work Schedule

1st shift; Monday-Friday, 6am - 2:30pm. No weekends

Job Responsibilities

• Receive and sort clinical lab specimens
• Prepare specimens for testing and analysis
• Scan and/or data entry of specimen and patient information

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications

• 1 year or more of experience as a laboratory assistant.

• Ability to work in a fast paced production environment and meet established turn-around times
• Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
• Ability to sit and/or stand for extended periods of time
• Able to pass a standardized color blindness test.
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed
