Job summary

Patient First in Washington is seeking a Lab Technician to perform waived laboratory tests and deliver accurate results quickly to support patient care.

You will follow established specimen collection, handling, and reporting procedures, maintain safety and quality controls, and collaborate with nurses and physicians to support timely diagnosis and treatment. Strong multitasking and attention to detail are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Knowledge of laboratory principles and waived testing.
• Ability to produce rapid, reliable results under high volume.
• Proficiency with venipuncture and specimen handling.
• Must maintain safety and quality control standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform waived laboratory tests and report results.
• Follow specimen collection and processing procedures.
• Document quality control activities.
• Order lab, X-ray, and medical supplies as directed.
• Notify clinicians when patient is ready for exam and relay needs.
• Maintain clean, safe work environment and teamwork.
