Job summary

Actalent in Saint Paul, MN is seeking an Entry Level Laboratory Assistant to support sample receipt, data entry, and basic testing preparation.

You will ensure accurate logging of incoming samples, maintain precise records for QC tests, and operate LIMS systems with attention to detail in a fast-paced environment. This role is fully onsite and offers full benefits as part of a contract-to-hire path.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in a scientific discipline preferred and supports advancement to higher lab technician levels.
• Two-year or four-year degree in biology or another scientific field preferred, but candidates without a degree are also considered.
• Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) is required to advance beyond this level within the lab technician career ladder.

Responsibilities

• Receive and register incoming samples accurately and promptly.
• Maintain neat, organized, and accurate records for daily work and quality control tests.
• Enter sample data into DQCI LIMS or Eurofins eLIMS systems and verify completeness.
• Verify test results and submit to appropriate personnel for testing and review.
• Perform routine cleaning of glassware, vials, and workstations.
• Handle milk and other materials using aseptic techniques to support tests.
• Coordinate workflow with team to maintain pace in a fast-paced environment.
