Job summary

Hunter Care Health is seeking a Laboratory Assistant to support specimen processing, data entry, and clerical tasks in a clinical lab setting. You will prepare specimens, perform basic analyzer functions, and ensure accuracy while following OSHA safety regulations.

Qualifications

High school diploma, or equivalent, biological science degree preferred.
Experience in healthcare or clinical laboratory.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Prior experience with data entry a plus.
Excellent listening and communication skills.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Must be customer service oriented.
Punctuality is a must.
Basic computer skills required.

Responsibilities

Performs data entry and specimen processing associated with the laboratory test requests.
Laboratory specimen preparation.
Follows all company policies and procedures to ensure product integrity and quality control.
Clerical duties such as filing, scanning, or faxing, answering the phone
Promotes a positive and safe work environment through understanding of safety (OSHA) regulations, practices, and procedures, including but not limited to biological and chemical hazards.
Help with analyzer maintenance, specimen prep, running basic analyzer functions.
