Job summary

Kettering Health is seeking a phlebotomy-focused team member to support its southwest Ohio patient network. The role covers pre-analytic specimen processing, blood collection by venipuncture and capillary puncture, and patient instruction across diverse patient areas.

Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma or equivalent and may have 1 year of phlebotomy experience or completion of a phlebotomy program. This is a hospital-based position with focus on safety and accuracy.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old and/or high school graduation or the equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Performs pre-analytic processing of specimens; collects specimens including blood samples by venipuncture and capillary puncture in all patient areas.
• Instructs patients in the collection of urine samples and tolerance test in all patient areas.
