Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Lab Assistant to join our Tukwila, WA team. Responsibilities include receiving and sorting clinical lab specimens, preparing them for testing, data entry, and maintaining equipment and safety standards.

Minimum high school diploma; Bachelor's in Medical Lab Science or related field preferred. 6+ months hospital or lab specimen processing experience preferred. Pay range includes third shift differential and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Bachelor's degree in Medical Lab Science, Biology, or Chemistry preferred.
• 6 months or more hospital or lab specimen processing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Receive and sort clinical lab specimens.
• Prepare specimens for testing and analysis.
• Scan and/or data entry of specimen and patient information.
• Ensure all lab equipment is working properly and perform minor instrumentation maintenance.
• Troubleshoot any specimen related issues.
• Replenish test bench supplies as needed.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Complete record logs and other administrative duties as requested.
• Follow all Standard Operating Procedures to ensure safety and quality standards.
