Responsibilities

• Enter laboratory orders and label specimens accurately.
• Perform CLIA Waived tests: Urinalysis, Urine Pregnancy, Sed Rates, C.diff, Fecal Occult Blood.
• Enter patient orders accurately and review results.
• Prepare send-out testing and shipments.
• Identify add-on and missed tests in inventoried racks.
• Answer customer calls regarding testing and results.

Position Summary: This is a full‑time position as a Lab Assistant in a Clinical laboratory. The ideal candidate has great management skills, high attention to detail, and a drive to help patients. Responsibilities will include processing blood, urine and stool specimens for both, in‑house laboratory testing, and send out testing.

Scheduled Shift: Monday to Friday; 06:00 p.m. to 02:30 a.m.

We're looking for reliable staff. Successful candidates will go through a 3-month probation period; attendance is crucial.

Duties:

• Processor will enter laboratory orders, receive, aliquot, and label accurately.
• Perform all CLIA Waived testing: Urinalysis, Urine Pregnancy, Sed Rates, C.diff, Fecal Occult Blood.
• Successfully enters patient orders accurately - Laboratory test knowledge a plus.
• Prepares Send out testing: checking off Packing Lists, creates shipment, prepares samples using resources.
• Finds add-on and missed testing in inventoried sample racks for Lab Techs.
• Prepares Supply orders for facilities as requested and creates orders for courier pick‑up.
• Professionally and politely answer customer phone calls regarding testing, orders, and results.
