Job summary

Labcorp in Oak Creek, WI is hiring a Lab Assistant to join a fast-paced, production-oriented lab team. You will receive and sort clinical specimens, prepare them for testing, and perform data entry while maintaining safety and quality standards.

The position requires a high school diploma and may include shift work with overtime. Prior lab or medical experience is a plus, and applicants must be comfortable handling biological specimens and using basic computer systems.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• 6 months or more of medical/lab or production experience preferred.
• Ability to pass a standardized color blindness test.
• Comfort handling biological specimens.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced production environment.

Responsibilities

• Receive and sort clinical lab specimens.
• Prepare specimens for testing and analysis.
• Scan and/or data entry of specimen and patient information.
• Ensure lab equipment is working and perform minor maintenance.
• Troubleshoot specimen-related issues.
• Replenish test bench supplies as needed.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Complete log records and other duties as requested.
• Follow SOPs to ensure safety and quality.

Labcorp is seeking a Lab Assistant to join our team in Oak Creek, WI.

Work Schedule

• Monday - Friday, 11:00pm - 7:30am.
• E/O Weekend.
• E/O Holiday.

Job Responsibilities

• Receive and sort clinical lab specimens.
• Prepare specimens for testing and analysis.
• Scan and/or data entry of specimen and patient information.
• Ensure all lab equipment is working properly and perform minor instrumentation maintenance.
• Troubleshoot any specimen related issues.
• Replenish test bench supplies as needed.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Complete record logs and other administrative duties as requested.
• Follow all Standard Operating Procedures to ensure safety and quality standards.

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications

• 6 months or more of medical/lab or production experience.
