Job summary

Henry Ford Health is seeking a lab support professional to help keep the lab running smoothly by handling entry, specimen pickup, transportation, tracking, receipt and processing.

You will master our lab equipment and automation systems and interact professionally with patients, lab staff and caregivers. Occasional phlebotomy at the site will expand your skills and support the team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong computer skills including MS Office.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and demonstrate exceptional customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Handle order entry, specimen pick-up, transportation, tracking, receipt and processing.
• Operate pre- and post-analytic lab equipment and automation systems.
• Interact professionally with patients, lab staff and caregivers.
• Navigate information systems to manage tasks and ensure accurate processes.
• Occasionally perform phlebotomy services at the site.

• Keep the lab running smoothly by handling order entry, specimen pick-up, transportation, tracking, receipt, and processing—basically, you'll be the lab's MVP ensuring nothing falls through the cracks!
• Master our pre and post-analytic laboratory equipment and automation systems—think of yourself as the tech-savvy problem-solver who keeps everything humming along.
• Bring your A-game to every interaction with patients, laboratory staff, and caregivers—your friendly, professional demeanor makes everyone's day a little better.
• Navigate our information systems like a pro to manage tasks efficiently and keep our laboratory processes accurate and on point.
• Roll up your sleeves and occasionally perform phlebotomy services when needed at your site—expanding your skills and supporting the team where it matters most.

Qualifications
