Responsibilities:

• Performs sample processing and exempt screening and monitoring tests in accordance with CMS (CLIA 88), OSHA, the Georgia Department of Community Health, and other applicable standards.
• Performs venipunctures and obtains/prepares blood specimens following Piedmont policies and procedures.
• Assists technical staff in non-clinical tasks.

Qualifications:

• Minimum Education: High School diploma or GED.
• Experience: None required.
• Licensure/Certification: None required, but phlebotomy certification through ASCP, ASPT, NCA, or equivalent is preferred.
• Additional Skills: Basic knowledge of venipuncture/phlebotomy, clinical laboratory processes, and experience in healthcare or laboratory settings are preferred. EKG experience is also a plus.
