Job summary

Inotiv in Fort Collins, CO is seeking a part-time Laboratory Animal Care Technician I to maintain the well-being of animals and support daily animal care, facility upkeep, and accurate recordkeeping. Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Prior animal handling or care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine husbandry (food, water, cleaning pens) for various animal species.
• Performs general room cleaning procedures, animal husbandry sanitization and water monitoring.
• Ensures animals have adequate space, safe and secure housing, and enrichment.
• Monitors temperature and humidity in animal rooms and reports HVAC issues.
• Completes daily animal welfare/mortality checks and animal husbandry records.
• Assists with study acclimation and data collection as described in protocols.
