Job summary

ENVIGO RMS LLC is seeking an Animal Care Technician to join our dynamic team. This role focuses on overall animal care and welfare, production and selection for customer orders, facility upkeep and recordkeeping and procedural duties.

Responsibilities include basic animal husbandry, room and barrier sanitation, handling of cleaners and disinfectants, receiving barrier shipping boxes, restraining rodents, health assessments, weighing, and final packaging procedures.

Qualifications

• Desire to work with animals daily.
• Interest in animal development and breeding is a plus.
• Willingness to complete paperwork as needed.

Monday – Friday: Weekend Rotations

• Room and barrier sanitation
• Preparation and handling of cleaners and disinfectants within the facility
• Receiving barrier shipping boxes and materials on the inside of the facility
• Proficient in handling and the restraint of rodents
• Perform basic health assessment of rodents
• Ability to sex rodents
• Ability to calibrate digital scales
• Maintain pest management duties within the facility
• Filling customer orders and final packaging procedures
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Desire to work with and care for animals on a daily basis
• Interest in animal development and breeding
• Continuous effort toward contributing to a clean and safe working environment
• Ability and willingness to complete paperwork as needed
• Must be available to work weekends/holidays on a rotating basis
• Willingness to work overtime when needed
• Can lift up to 50 lbs on occasion
• Can stand/walk on concrete for at least two hours at a time
• Can frequently bend, reach, push, pull, squat and lift
• English communication – reading, writing and oral
